Total Health Packs For Energy Plus

All nutrients have an indirect effect on your energy as you can’t have ENERGY PLUS if you are deficient in even one mineral or one vitamin. Therefore, I have drawn on my 30-plus years of experience to design a list of essential nutrients (found in the Total Health Packs) that are required for daily supplementation to ensure that you aren’t lacking in any key nutrient.

I refer to this list of nutrients as your Daily Essential Nutrients because I consider them to be an essential part of your daily life if you wish to achieve and maintain optimal health which includes having all the energy you need and want.

The nutrients that are included in the Total Health Packs (Daily Essential Nutrients) that have a DIRECT effect on your energy are as follows:

Vitamin B Complex

The B complex vitamins provide the body with energy by aiding in the conversion of carbohydrates to glucose which the body “burns” to produce energy.

The water-solubility of the B-complex vitamins means that any excess is excreted and not stored. Therefore, they must be replaced daily.

Vitamin C

Did you know that one of the first signs of a vitamin C deficiency is fatigue?  This is thought to be related to the fact that vitamin C is needed to create l-carnitine which is a molecule essential for the transport of fatty acids into the mitochondria.  It is the mitochondria which convert food sources (such as fats) into energy in the body.

MSM (methylsulfonylmethane)

MSM increases the permeability of our cells which releases toxin.  Compare how you feel when you have a cold or flu to how you feel when the virus passes.  This is a good analogy of how your body feels carrying around toxins and how your body feels when the toxins are released.

Also cells that are more permeable and have released their toxins will be more able to absorb nutrients that raise your energy levels.

MSM oxygenates the blood so that red blood cells can deliver more oxygen to your cells.  MSM improves the lung capacity which increases oxygen intake to the body.

Like vitamins, minerals contain no calories or energy in themselves, but they are critical for energy production.  Without minerals, your vitamins cannot work.  We can manufacture some vitamins, but we cannot make a single mineral within our body.  If you are deficient in even one mineral, you could suffer with fatigue.

The following are quotes on the importance of minerals in producing energy from the book “Staying Healthy with Nutrition” written by Elson Haas, MD.

Magnesium helps in the release of energy by transferring the key phosphate molecule to adenosine triphosphate (ATP), an energy source generated by the cytochrome system.”

“Fatigue is the most common symptom of chronic potassium deficiency.”

Zinc is needed for lactate and malate hydrogenases, both important in energy production.”

Chromium improves the uptake of glucose into the cells so it can be metabolized to produce energy.”

Iodine is an essential nutrient for production of the body’s thyroid hormones which are needed for normal growth and development, protein synthesis and energy metabolism”

Manganese has been helpful in some cases of fatigue”.

Although I highly recommend starting with the Total Health Pack to ensure that you are getting the nutrients your body requires to have ENERGY PLUS, you may need to take more action steps if you wish to reach your desired energy goal.

Eliminating your fatigue may require some detective work.

For example, if you have migraines, a doctor will prescribe pain relief. As nutritionists we ask WHY you have the migraines.  In order to make a recommendation, we need to know if the migraines are being caused by a food allergy, hormonal imbalance or liver dysfunction (to name a few).  By knowing the root cause, THEN you can follow the correct nutritional strategies to safely and permanently eliminate the migraines.

The “root cause principal” applies to all health issues, including eliminating fatigue so that you can have ENERGY PLUS!

There are too many possibilities to cover in this article. Root causes of fatigue could fill a book, and in fact, they have.  I wrote “Get Off the PMS and Perimenopausal Roller Coaster, Learn 9 Natural Fast Track Solutions to Balanced Hormones”. Many of the root causes of hormone imbalances are the same root causes of fatigue.  The book should be retitled, “The Women’s Health Handbook” because EVERY woman needs to own this book and refer to it often.
