Total Health Packs for Mothers To Be

Essential Nutrients for an Easier Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a stressful condition involving numerous physical and emotional changes in the mother’s body as the fetus develops. The tissues in the breasts and uterus increase, the blood supply increases, there is a frequent urge to urinate, there is slight nausea in the morning or even later in the day, the menstrual period is absent, and the need for sleep and fluids is increased substantially.

Due to these changes, supplementation is advised because all of the nutritional requirements of the mother amplify as the fetus develops and in preparation for the newborn baby.  The fetus takes nutrients directly from the mother; therefore, if the mother does not get adequate nutrition, both may suffer the consequences.

Morning sickness can be helped with B vitamins and vitamin C found in the Total Health Packs.

The B vitamin complex in the Total Health Packs may relieve heartburn and digestive upset.

Vitamin C in amounts of 500 mg to 4,000 mg with Bioflavonoids will help a woman carry to term. We have 900 mg of vitamin C and 180 mg of Bioflavonoids in each Total Health Pack.

The vitamin C also helps prevent capillary fragility that can lead to hemorrhaging.

Vitamin E and folic acid in the Total Health Packs are helpful in preventing miscarriages.

Vitamins C, B6, E and the mineral potassium which are found in the Total Health Packs are known to have diuretic actions (prevent fluid retention).

Vitamin E found in the Total Health Packs may prevent toxemia and restless legs.

Calcium and B vitamins in the Total Health Packs may help relieve leg, back and joint pain.

B6, calcium and magnesium in the Total Health Packs help prevent muscle cramps.

Vitamin E and zinc in the Total Health Packs will help prevent stretch marks.

An adequate supply of vitamin D as found in the Total Health Packs is needed to ensure proper absorption of calcium.

MSM as found in the Total Health Packs regenerates cells and give cells flexibility which helps prevent stretch marks.  MSM allows nutrients into cells and takes toxins away, which keeps you nourished and less likely to get edema.

Omega 3 as found in the Total Health Packs will help make the baby smart and keep the mom out of postpartum depression. Infants who do not get enough omega-3 fatty acids from their mothers during pregnancy are at risk for developing vision and nerve problems.

Summary: The Total Health Packs, as I have just stated above, are perfect whether you are keeping yourself from aging or nurturing yourself to give the best possible start for your baby because the basic nutrients you require remain the same.

Just as a car needs oil, gas and water, you need your basic vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and protection from the environment.

NOTE FROM BRENDA EASTWOOD: In my experience, many pregnant women have felt ill taking the usual recommended drug store vitamins designed for pregnant women. This is because they contain inorganic minerals and toxic binders and fillers. I don’t recommend them.

For a full list of the nutrients contained in each Total Health Pack please view the Ingredients Here

My first recommendation is that you take one Total Health Pack at least once a day (it has 500 mcg of folic acid in it and the daily recommended dosage is a minimum of 400 mcg). They are perfectly balanced and 100% safe for pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, nursing and for keeping your strength up running around after your children.  However, they do not contain any iron so you might need to take some iron separately.  I can only recommend Ultra Iron. The dosage is low becauseiIt is EASILY absorbed and does NOT constipate. It is the most effective and safest iron that I have ever found.

I have also advised my pregnant clients that Red Raspberry contains nutrients to strengthen the uterus wall.  It helps in nausea, helps prevent hemorrhaging, and reduces pain and ease of childbirth.  It helps reduce false labor pains. It helps enrich colostrum found in breast milk. Drinking the tea after birth will help decrease uterine swelling and cut down on postpartum bleeding. (Capsules can be added to hot water to make tea).

If heartburn becomes problematic, I recommend Digest Best.
